Each Alexapure Pro filter is rated for up to 200 gallons of filtration, depending on the quality of the water you're filtering. You don't have to keep track of every gallon—when you notice a significant decrease in flow rate, that's a good indication it's time for a replacement.

Two filters provide approximately twice the flow rate and up to 400 gallons of combined filtration capacity. Install four, and you can get approximately four times the flow rate and up to 800 gallons of combined capacity before replacement.

Yes. The new Alexapure Pro is designed to work with both generations of filters. The new system includes adapters that allow you to use original Alexapure Pro filters, so any filters you already have on hand don't go to waste.

And compatibility works both ways—the new Alexapure Pro filters include quick-connect adapters that allow them to be used with the original Alexapure Pro system.

Either way, you're covered to use what you already have on hand.

Alexapure Pro is designed for simple upkeep. Clean the stainless steel chambers periodically with fresh water, mild soap and a soft cloth. If you notice buildup on the filter or a decrease in flow, remove the filter and gently clean the exterior under running water—never use soap or detergent on the filter.

After cleaning, reassemble the system and make sure all connections are secure before refilling. With routine care, your Alexapure Pro is ready to keep filtering whenever you need it.

No. Unlike Reverse Osmosis, distillation, or deionization systems, Alexapure Pro is designed to target unwanted contaminants without stripping your water of its naturally occurring dissolved minerals. In-house testing showed that overall dissolved mineral levels remained consistent before and after filtration.
